# Mac Installation

## Downloading Valor: <a href="#downloading-valor" id="downloading-valor"></a>

Now that you're in the discord, dm the Valor Auth#4362 bot and message it !download to get access to the download link.

The image below is an example of a typical update announcement. From this message, you can find necessary information about what is updated, and how to receive those changes within your bot.&#x20;

## Installing Valor: <a href="#installing-valor" id="installing-valor"></a>

Now that you have downloaded the Valor Mac DMG file, open it in your downloads folder. You will be prompted with a screen as shown in the image below. Drag the Valor icon into the applications folder. You can now access your Valor by opening it from your Applications folder. Please note that on the first open, you may need to right-click and open. You can open by double-clicking the application as usual after this initial right-click opening.

When opening for the first time, you may need to right-click and open. After the first time, you can double-click the icon and open it as usual.
